Frances Marion Quintanilla, 62, from Las Animas, CO. died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Bent County Healthcare Center, where she had resided the past several months. Frances was born April 4, 1949 in Taft, Calif. to parents Dwight Edward and Betty Jean Killmer Cooper. She was united in marriage to Eraclio G. “Rocky” Quintanilla October 18, 1971 in Tacoma, Washington. They lived several years in the San Francisco, CA. area before moving to Las Animas, CO. in 1980. She is survived by husband, Rocky of the Las Animas, her mother, Betty Jean Wilson of Taft, CA, son, Eraclio G. Quintanilla, Jr. of Las Animas, CO, brother Daniel Cooper of Oregon, sister Georgia of Pueblo, CO, great grandson Israel James.
Funeral services will be held 10am Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Las Animas, CO. with the Rev. Charles Harder officiating. Interment will follow in the Las Animas Cemetery.
