A graveside funeral service will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. for Artie L. “Sis” Levanduski, 92. Rev. Trent Meadors, pastor of First Assembly of God in Taft, will officiate.  She was born in Oklahoma to Neal and Effie Beck, the eldest daughter in a family of two boys and three girls. She passed away in Bakersfield on January 28, 2012.  In the early 1950s Artie married O.V. “Shorty” Gentry and they moved to New Mexico, relocating to Taft, CA in 1963.  In her later years Artie married Ed Levanduski.  She is survived by two daughters, Jane Hess (Charles) and Marti Tosta (Charles;) three grandsons, Steven Smalley, Michael Smalley and Anthony Tosta; two great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sister, Betty Dethloff (Kossie.)  Artie was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.  Family and friends are invited to sign our online guest registry at www.EricksonAndBrown.com
