Boys soccer team loses on penalty kicks to Vikings

Two days ago the No.6 seed Taft varsity boys soccer team escaped with an overtime victory at home. The Wildcats got a taste of the other side of the spectrum Thursday evening when No.3 Kingsburg ended Taft's season by outscoring the Wildcats 4-1 in the quarterfinal round of th CIF-CS Division IV playoffs.
Neither team was able to break through in the first half. Kingsburg finally broke through in the second half with two goals while Taft was held to one for most of the second half.

Taft erased the deficit with a goal in the final minutes of the half to end regulation in a 2-2 tie. However, Kingsburg advanced by outscoring Taft on penalty kicks.
