Lady Wildcats softball outscores Shafter by 13 runs
The Taft High freshman softball team ended the season with a bang Wednesday when they defeated Shafter 22-9.
“The girls improved tremendously through the season and worked hard during practice to win the league title,” said Taft coach Taylor Miller.
With the victory, Taft improves to 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the South Sequoia League.
Meghan Clark led Taft by going 3-for-4 with two singles, a double and four runs scored.
As a team, the Lady Wildcats had a batting average of .514.
