Men's team loses by four goals while women's team loses by two

Both of Taft College’s soccer teams ran into state powerhouses last Friday.

And both were shut out.

The Cougar women dropped a 2-0 decision to Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga.

Chaffey improved its record to 6-1-0 while the Cougars dropped to 1-3 heading into today’s home non-conference game against Mt. San Antonio College.

On Friday, the Cougars will travel to Norwalk to take on Cerritos College.

The No, 2 ranked undefeated Cerritos men’s team, meanwhile, defeated the Cougar men 4-0 in Taft on Friday.

The win pushed the Falcons’ record to 6-0-1 while the Cougars dropped to 3-3-2.

TC has dropped two in a row and hopes to get back on the winning track today when the Cougars hit the road to take on Moorpark College.

The Cougars will host Long Beach City College Friday at 3 p.m. on the Tenth Street field.
