Foster failed to appear for burglary sentencing
One of Taft's Most Wanted was arrested Thursday evening after a foot chase and search through a Taft neighborhood.
Joey Allen Foster, 34, wanted on a felony warrant for failing to appear at his sentencing for a burglary conviction, was caught in the rear of a house on the 700 block of North Street.
He was first spotted about 5 p.m. near Tenth and Kern Street by a Kern County Sheriff's deputy. The deputy gave chase and was joined by more deputies and Taft Police.
When the suspect disappeared, officers set up a perimeter around the north side of the 700 block of North and the south side of the 700 block of Kern .
When officers spotted movement, they moved into a yard towards the west end of North Street and found Foster.
Foster was located and taken into custody, then booked into the Taft jail.
Foster was wanted for violating probation on a drug conviction and for failing to appear for his sentencing.
