Chance of rain starts Monday and goes through the weekend

Weather for the week before Christmas is going to be changing all the time.

Monday morning dawned clear and warmer than the past several days, but a weather disturbance is moving in that will bring a chance of rain Monday afternoon and evening to start a week that will be cooler and showery at times.

There is a 40 percent chance of rain Monday afternoon increasing to 50 percent Monday night.

The showers will taper off on Tuesday, but it will be cold and windy.

Northwest winds will be blowing at 10 to 15 miles per hour with higher gusts.

Tuesday's high is expected to hit just 51.

Weather will be clear through the rest of the week until another weather system brings periods of rain and mountain snow through the weekend.
