Indians shut out Faith Christian 86-0
There are times in sports where a final score will jump out. That was the case for the Maricopa football team last Friday night when they defeated Faith Christian 86-0 at Faith Christian.
With the victory, Maricopa improves to 1-2 on the season.
Maricopa didn’t waste anytime getting started by scoring 26 points in the first quarter and 38 points in the second. Scoring tailed off in the second half with the Indians scoring eight points in the third quarter and 14 in the second.
Friday’s score was just part of a wild beginning for Maricopa. In their first game of the season the Indians were shut out by Northwest Christian 38-0 before losing to Dunn 62-28 the following week.
Maricopa will look to build on their winning ways Saturday morning when they travel to Alpaugh. The game begins at 11 a.m.
