It's open to all Taft High alumni and people with strong community ties to Taft. It's a fundraiser, golf tournament and a reunion all in one.

Schools's out, the Fourth of July is coming up, so that means it's time to start thinking about one of the biggest event of the summer, the annual Moron Golf Tournament.
That's right, the popular golf tournament-reunion-fundraiser is coming up on Aug. 9 and the deadline for entries is Aug. 4.
The golf tournament is a scrambles format with a shotgun start, but  that's only a part of the fun. It's a chance to meet old friends and classmates and help out your alma mater.
The night before the tournament, larry and Chris Brown host a barbecue at their home.
“If you go to one, you're hooked,” said tournament organizer Brad Cross. “They have it all. Huge back yard and somebody over there really knows how to barbecue. I think it's Larry but I'm sure it's spread around a little.”
The golf takes place starting with a putting contest at 11 a.m., group picture at noon
and a shotgun start at 12:30.
Dinner follows at O.T Cookhouse at 7 p.m.
the vent is open to Taft High students, past or present,  longtime residents with strong ties to  the committee or anyone with committee approval.
The tournament fee is $85, which includes a donation to TUHS, golf cart, dinner and prizes or $20 for the dinner only.
Hats for the 2014 Moron Invitational are $15.
