1967 - 2014

Diana Marie Rynders, 47, of Taft, California, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2014.  Born January 11, 1967 in Long Beach, California, she spent her childhood living in Southern California and teen years in Cambria, California and San Luis Obispo, California where she graduated from San Luis Obispo High in 1985.  In 1993 she married Johnny R. Phillips.  They moved to Taft, California and they brought her shining stars, Austin and Emily into the world.  They later divorced.  She went on to marry Larry Rynders in 2007.  She was the love and light of his life and he was a love and happiness she had always dreamed of.  Diana made their house a home of love and comfort and her whole life’s happiness was being Austin’s and Emily’s Mom.  She loved animals and leaves behind Nevaeh and Maddy, her beloved boxers.  Diana worked as a teacher’s aide in an after school program at Conley Elementary in Taft.  She loved the work she did helping little children learn and they loved Diana.  She had a special way to teach with great love and compassion straight from her heart.  She is survived by her parents, Donald D. and Donna Kopp of St. George, Utah; sister, Darla (Daniel) Cornell of Pleasant Grove, Utah; nephews, Tyler and Shayne Simons of Pleasant Grove, Utah; step-children, Lauren and Cole Rynders; and many cousins and friends in California.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the West Side District Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 440 E.
