Fire, law enforcement agencies and other providers will be available to meet with public

To help residents prepare for excessive rainfall anticipated in this El Niño year, the
County of Kern will be holding an El Niño preparedness meeting in the Supervisors’
Board Chambers at 1115 Truxtun Ave, First Floor on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

As with the other meetings, representatives from the following agencies will talk about how to prepare for a flood, what to do in a flood emergency, and emergency resources
available to the public:

•Kern County Fire Kern County Animal Services
•Kern County Sheriff’s Office National Weather Service
•Kern County Public Works American Red Cross
•Kern County Public Health Community Action Partnership - 211
•California Highway Patrol
