One-way traffic between Palomas and Meadow on Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Caltrans is going start doing road work on Highway 58 in Buttonwillow this weekend and that means one-way controlled traffic through the community on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The construction involves a section of Highway 58 from Palomas Road on the west end to Meadow Street next to the baseball field on the east side from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m each day. Local businesses will remain open during this period and a posted detour will be available around the work area.
Caltrans personnel will be conducting one way traffic control during this time with the use of flagging personnel and a pilot vehicle to escort traffic through the work zone.
Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel, stay behind the pilot vehicle and pay close attention to road maintenance vehicles.
These closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance. This work is scheduled to take place, weather permitting. Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes whenever possible.
