Victim found on porch of home with stab wound to chest
Kern County Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a Ford City man was found suffering from a stab wound Tuesday morning.
Deputies and medical aid were summoned to a house on the 400 block of Tyler Street about 11 a.m. and found the victim, Joshua Sailor, 46, suffering what from appeared to be a single stab wound to the chest, Sgt. Avery Simpson said.
The victim was found on the front porch of the home by his father, Simpson said.
Deputies don't have a suspect yet but are following a few leads.
"We really don't know what happened. He hasn't been able to tell us much," Simpson said.
Sailor was in serious condition, the sergeant said.
He was taken by ambulance to Elk Hills Gate 2 where he was transferred to a helicopter and flown to Kern Medical for treatment
