July 14, 1929 - January 30, 2017
Our beloved Louis E. Fork left us quietly in his sleep on January 30, 2017. He left peacefully, but in life he was like a meteor streaking across the skies of our lives. Born in Taft, California July 14, 1929, his parents were Ernest Fork and his wife Myrtle (Lowe). When he returned from the Korean War as assistant Chaplain, he attended the Pacific School of Religion. A passionate musician, he delighted people his entire life playing the piano. Always interested in physical activities he loved long hikes up Kern Canyon and was a Golden Gloves boxer. Many will recall ballroom dancing with him and found yourself dancing beyond your own abilities because of his. He is and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him well. Please remember him for his great sense of humor with that light in his eyes, head thrown back laughing out loud so hard it would soon include everyone in the room. He was one of a kind. Thirty-minute service will be held Monday, March 6 at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA. at 10:45 AM. Questions call niece Donna Pollard 970-612-0156.
