February 24, 1929 - February 24, 2017

Barbara Bogle of Taft, CA, passed peacefully on her 88 th birthday. Barbara was born February 24, 1929 and was a 1947 graduate of Taft Union High School. Barbara married Robert (Bob) Bogle in 1948, and in their early years owned and operated Bob’s Liquor Store in Ford City. Many of the customers enjoyed coming in to the store to shop and visit with (and admire!) the beautiful Mrs. Bogle. Barbara was also employed by the West Side Hospital, and worked as a medical transcriber. Barbara was very well liked by others for her kindness, soft spoken nature, and her humble spirit.

Barbara had a special love for her family, friends, and of course, her cats! Always a gracious hostess, everyone was welcomed in her home. Barbara enjoyed gardening, reading the newspaper front to back, staying up late at night, early morning walks, word searches, puzzles, chocolate, and many lunch dates with her wonderful friends over the years. The family cherishes many fond memories of Barbara; she was truly as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

Barbara is survived by her daughter and spouse, Teresa and Ben Rudnick; daughter in law, Bonnie Bogle; grandchildren, Jake Rudnick, Monte Rudnick, Michelle and John Hill, Justin and Darcy Bogle, Crystal and Josh Moore, and Robin and Levi Montes; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Rudnick, Tucker Hill, Katelynn and Adalee Moore, and McKenzie and Mason Montes; brother, Scott Hickman and family; niece, Karen Taylor; great-nieces, Wendy and Chloe Porter; nephew, Kirk Borgsdorf and family; special neighbors Dutch Templeton, Craig Johnson, and Larry Brown; and special friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Bogle and son, Robert Bogle.
