Darlene Sandra (Bowser) Gonzales Kessler, was Peacefully Promoted to Heaven on, February 10, 2017 in San Luis Obispo, Ca.
Darlene was the second child born to Charlie and Ramona Bowser on August 7, 1939 in Oakland, Ca.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bob A. Kessler, her children Kari and Sam Maxwell of San Jose, Randy and Candy Gonzales of Lompoc, Chuck and Sandra Gonzales of Cambria,
Sindy and Dennis Walrath of Bakersfield , Shelly Walters of Arroyo Grande, and John Kessler of Bakersfield, Sister and Brother in Law Linda and Mike Decant of Santa Maria, and sister-in-law Susan Brown of Taft.
Grandchildren: Jason and Nicole Maxwell, Ashley and Nathan Derichsweiler and Kimi Maxwell all of San Jose, Oj and Brad Gonzales of Arizona, Randy Jr. and Ulu Gonzales of Bakersfield, Nikki and Robert Cleveland of Lake Isabella, Michael and Jenny Gonzales of Bakersfield, Sergio Gonzales of Tehachapi, Jeremy Gonzales of Taft and Vanessa Bowen. Chris and Lacey Walrath, Jynna and Jared Sheridan both of Bakersfield, Cristen and Nathan Duke of Arroyo Grande, Jordan Walters of Bakersfield, Riki Carlin.
Beloved Nieces & Nephews, Sherry & Jim Coggins, Janeen & Roy Heimiller, Barry Bowser, Robyn & Rob Williams, Ryan and Davina Decant, Brett & Mandy Decant,Kal & Cheryl Vaughn, Adam Vaughn.
Cousins: Jerry Bowser, Rhoma Greer, Rhonda Lowman, Rosanne Rantz and Van and Shelly Fairbanks, Mark and Silvia, Gary & Sherry, Denny, Dean, Keith Constable, Joy Darlene, Cathy & Sharon Narducci.
Mom and Bob were also blessed with 22 Great Grandchildren!
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ramona Bowser, Brother Barry Bowser, Son Bobby Kessler, Mother and Father in Law, George and Lois Kessler, Aunt Mary Fairbanks, Cousin Charles Bowser.
Darlene graduated from Santa Ynez High School in 1957, where she enjoyed being on the Track Team and ran the hurdles. She also was a Majorette.
Darlene was mostly known by her loving, compassionate and Joyful spirit. She greeted people with her warm smile and strong hugs. She made everyone feel like family! Some of her friends called her Mom.
She held many jobs and was a loyal and committed friend and employee, she served on many committees as well during her lifetime.
She was most proud of her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren!
Darlene leaves behind a wonderful legacy for her family and friends , one of Faith, Love and many sweet precious memories of Joy & Laughter to hold onto until we meet her again! She will be greatly and deeply missed.
Darlene's Celebration of Life is to be Announced in March.
In Lieu of Flowers one can give to the American Lung Association or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
