Suspects entered house and removed items, police say
Two men was arrested on residential burglary and conspiracy charges last week after they were first reported entering a home and then found trying to sell recyclables they had stolen, Taft Police report.
The suspects were identified as Eddy Ortiz Castaneda, 35, and Arnoldo Natividad Dagnino Rubio, 26.
Taft Police Lt. Pete Aranda said a neighbor reported seeing the men jump the alley fence of a residence on the 200 block of Third Street and later carry recyclables and other items from the home.
Subsequent investigation found the home had been forcibly entered.
Police obtained surveillance of the men and a truck they were driving.
They later locate a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle at the recycling center on the 1000 block of Fourth Street and arrested the men.
