Two people in car suffer no apparent injuries, Taft Police say

A man was seriously injured Thursday evening when a motorcycle and car collided on the 200 block of Kern Street.
Few details about the crash were immediately available, but Kern County firefighters described the motorcyclist's injuries as major.
He was taken from the scene by ambulance to be transferred to a medical helicopter at Elk Hills Gate 2 for a flight to Kern Medical.
Two people, an adult male and female, in the car had no visible injuries, Taft Police said, but indicated they would seek private treatment.

The crash resulted in major damage to both the motorcycle, a Harley Davidson, and the driver's side front of the car, a Volkswagen Jetta.
The crash took place about 6 p.m. just west of the intersection of Second and Kern.

This is a developing story.

Check for details as they become available.
