School supplies, new or gently used clothes can be dropped off at Taft First Assembly of God, 314 Asher Ave.
It seems like summer just got started, but its already time to start thinking about helping the less fortunate children in our community get ready for the start of school in August.
The annual Back to School Connection, hosted by Taft First Assembly of God, 314 Asher Avenue, makes sure that every child possible gets the supplies and preparation he or she needs to start the new school year.
But those groups need your help.
Donations make it possible, and the organizers are asking the public to help by donating school supplies.
Here's what's needed:
Notebook paper and spiral notebooks
Pencil boxes and backpacks
Folders and book covers
Pencils and ink pens
Crayons and colored pencils
Pencil top erasers and rulers
Hand sanitizers and tissue packs
Tooth brushes & tooth paste
New or gently used clothing
Socks of all sizes: children, men & women
Donations will be accepted until July 31st.
Cash contributions are welcome. Make checks payable to Taft First Assembly.
Drop off donations at the church office 314 Asher Ave.
Taft First Assembly of God, Taft Salvation Army, West Side Community Resource Center, local churches and businesses.
