Man seen going though house on Sunset Lane
A Taft man has been charged with a brazen daylight burglary attempt of an occupied Taft home.
|Jason Galvan is charged with first-degree burglary after the incident on Sunset Lane Monday|afternoon.
Taft Police Lt. Pete Aranda said a resident heard noises inside the house just after 3 p.m. and saw a shadow of the suspect moving through the residence and enter an attached garage.
The resident checked on other family members and all were present.
The suspect was found in the garage and the resident called police.
Officers and the victim found items in the home that obviously didn't belong there, and, a short time later, they arrested Jason Galvan, 40, near downtown.
Galvan is now being held on $25,000 bail in the Kern County Sheriff's central receiving facility in Bakersfield.
