All money collected here stays on Westside

The Salvation Army is asking for your help so they can help those in need on the Westside.

The holidays are upon us and it is time for the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.

This year you'll find the familar red kettle and bell-ringer at Albertsons and True Value Hardware.

You can make a commitment to ring bells at Albertsons or True Value. Ringing runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in 2 hour shifts on November 20 through December 24. You can sign up with friends or family and split a shift.

If you have any high schoolers that need their community service hours, this is a fun way to do it!

To volunteer text 203-3422, call 765-5557, or email to sign up with preferred dates.

If you are unable to ring bells, donations are gratefully accepted and checks can be made out to Salvation Army and sent to the address below. But the bellringers are all volunteers and the Salvation Army needs help.

All donation stays in Taft and surrounding Westside Communities and is used for a variety of services including emergency shelter, food, help with bus or gas for medical appointments, school supplies, clothing, and direct services for those in extreme need. The Red Kettle program is the Salvation Army's only fundraiser for these vital services.
