Women were arrested after attempted armed robbery in South Taft
Two Taft women arrested in connection with attempted robbery of another woman have been ordered to stand trial on conspiracy charges.
Stormey Brooke Taylor, 20 and Tuttianna Rosalena Tauta, 22, have both pled not guilty to the charge.
They were arrested by Kern County sheriff's deputies on March 11 after the victim told deputies she was confronted by two other adult females who demanded her belongings. The victim ran to a nearby business and the suspects followed her inside. While inside the business, one suspect pushed and punched the victim and tried to take her purse. The victim held on, and the suspects fled.
Taylor and Tauta were arrested nearby on charges of attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime, but only the conspiracy count was charged in court.
Both are free on $25,000 bail and are scheduled to be arraigned in Metro Division of Kern County Superior Court on April 4.
