Christopher Dean was arrested by deputies on April 2
The Taft man arrested on drug trafficking charges after he was stopped for riding a bicycle without a light at night has pleaded no contest to one felony charge.
Christopher Dean, 23, plead no contest to possession of a controlled substance for sale on April 10.
Several other counts, including transportation of a controlled substance, were dismissed, according to Kern County Superior Court records.
Dean is free on $15,000 and is scheduled to be sentenced on May 8.
Dean was arrested by Kern County Sheriff's deputies on April 2 after he was stopped for riding a bike near Fourth and Main with no forward facing light.
Dean was on probation and deputies searched his back pack and found 19.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine and several syringes.
