Donation announced at Cougar Cookout

Synagro has donated $25,000 to the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program in celebration of October being National Dental Hygiene Month. The Synagro donation was celebrated at the 10th annual Cougar Cookout on October 24 with many students, staff and faculty in attendance.

"Synagro wants to make a positive difference in the communities across the country where we operate," said Synagro Community Engagement Specialist Jamie Little, who made the presentation. "You can be confident that the work Synagro does in the Taft community supports a cleaner, greener world. This work extends beyond our environmental stewardship to investing in education and the lives of students. That is why Synagro is please to share this year’s donation with the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program."

Long recognized as an outstanding model of dental hygiene training, the Taft College dental hygiene clinic has provided free services for residents for many years, representing approximately $39,000 monthly in dental service charges.

"The Taft College Foundation and the Taft College Dental Hygiene Program are truly
grateful for the spirit of community service and commitment Synagro has demonstrated
by proving these funds for this worthwhile program," said TC Foundation Executive Director Sheri Horn-Bunk.
