Now five people face attempted murder charges
The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the fourth suspect still at large in the beating of a man in South Taft on Nov. 18.
A fifth suspect was arrested and is currently free on bail.
Bostun Jerald Hacker, 18, was originally identified as a juvenile. He is wanted on charges of attempted murder, battery w/serious bodily injury, assault on person with force likely to cause great bodily injury, threatening with intent to terrorize, vandalism, dissuade witness/victim and conspiracy.
The other suspects are facing similar charges.
They are all charged in connection with the beating on the 200 block of Shattuck Avenue that left the victim unconscious with major injuries.
Halie Curtis, 27, was arrested and is free on $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16.
The suspects still at large are Billy Burell III, 22, Steven Burell, 21, and Preston McAvinue, 26.
