Nine cases in western Kern County

Four more coronavirus cases have been reported Sunday morning.

There are now 51 total cases in the county, including one non resident.

One person, a Delano woman, has died.

The valley region of the county now has nine cases, according to the Kern County Department of Public Health Services, an increased two over Saturday.

That area includes the western Kern County region outside of the metro area that stretches from Maricopa north to Lost Hills and Delano.

Western Bakersfield still leads the county with 30, there are seven in eastern Bakersfield, two in the mountains and two in the desert.

To date, there have been 1,950 coronavirus tests administered with 964 negative tests and 935 still pending.
