So far, 26 people have been hospitalized and 33 have recovered, county says
Eighteen new coronavirus cases were confirmed by the Kern County Department of Public Health Services Friday evening, raising to199 the total number of cases in the county.
There are now 194 county residents and five nonresidents who have tested positive.
The DPHS said 4,504 tests have been administered so far with 2,948 negative tests and 1,807 tests still pending.
The number of cases in the valley region, which includes Taft, increased by 3 to 35.
So far, 26 people have been hospitalized and 33 people are considered to be recovered.
