Only one new case reported overnight

Only one new coronavirus was confirmed in Kern County overnight, but the county total increased by 14 in the past 24 hours.
There are now 253 total cases including 247 in Kern Residents, according to the Kern County Department of Public Health.

The majority of Kern's coronavirus cases are in Bakersfield. Western Bakersfield has 103 and eastern Bakersfield has 77.

Confirmed coronaviruses in the valley region, which includes Taft, increased by one to 42 in the past 24 hours.

In addition, there are eight in the mountain region and six in the desert region.

Through 9 a.m. Tuesday 5,191 tests of Kern County residents have been conducted with 3,020 negative and 1,918 still pending.
