Eleven deputies, five inmates is lower than he expected
Eleven Kern County Sheriff's personnel and five inmates in the county jail system have tested positive for coronavirus, Sheriff Donny Youngblood.
"That number is much smaller than I anticipated it might be," Youngblood said Friday morning in a video message posted to You Tube. "I think we're looking good. I think we're seeing some light at the end of the tunnel."
He said 10 of the officers are in quarantine and one has completed a quarantine period and returned to work.
There was no information on the inmates.
