Twenty-two people still hospitalized
Kern County's coronavirus count increased to 652 total and 643 county residents in the past 24 hours, with four new cases in the valley region, the Kern County Health Department reported Monday.
There are also nine nonresidents with positive COVID-19 tests.
Total cases rose to 80 so far in the valley region, which includes the western third of the county and covers Taft Waco, Shafter, Delano and all of the outlying communities.
The number of people hospitalized remains unchanged at 22.
three people have died from coronavirus since the outbreak began in March.
The Health Department said 234 who tested positive for coronavirus have recovered, the same as Sunday.
