Health department say no deaths since Friday with 1,296 total cases as of Monday
Kern County is averaging 30 new COVID-19 cases per day but has not reported any additional deaths from the pandemic in since Friday.
Public Health Director Matt Constantine said there were 32 new cases in the county on Monday.
He also said that nine of the 15 COVID-related deaths in the county have come at the Kingston Health Care Facility on Real Road in Bakersfield.
Previously county officials said seven of the county deaths came from Kingston.
Kern County now has 1,296 total cases but 759 have recovered.
No new cases were reported in western Kern County. The Taft area still has 18 total cases and nine people have recovered. There is one active case in the Maricopa area.
There are 39 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and 473 people with active cases are isolated at home, the health department said.
A of Monday, there were 101 children 17 and under who have tested positive for the virus, 728 cases in people 18 to 49 years old, 299 cases in people between 50 and 64 and 158 cases among those 65 and older.
