Man charged with three felonies from South Taft crash that injured woman

 The suspect in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a Taft woman on May 28 is free on $40,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.

Eulogio Lopez Torres, 21, is charged with two counts of felony DUI causing serious injury, felony hit and run and driving without a license.

California Highway Patrol officers said Torres was southbound on Lierly and ran a stop sign at Crystal Street before running a second stop sign at Lierly where his car collided with an SUV.

Flores fled from the scene, according to officers. He was detained by a Sheriff's deputy who turned him over to CHP officers.

The woman in the SUV was flown to Kern Medical for treatment of major injuries
