Decision based on staffing issues and positive COVID-19 test

Lincoln Junior High School is returning to distance learning starting on Thursday, the district announced Wednesday afternoon.

The decision was not based on a COVID-19 outbreak, Supt. Julie Graves said in a social media post, but "out of an abundance of caution" after a positive COVID-19 test

"Based on restraints that have been placed on staffing at Lincoln Junior High School due to a positive COVID-19 case, all students will revert back to distance learning effective December 10," Graves wrote.

"We will reevaluate the situation and communicate a date to resume in-person instruction as soon as that becomes clear. Please note this "pause" in in-person instruction is not related to a COVID-19 outbreak within the school, but rather the decision was made out of an abundance of caution."
