Warrant issued for Victor Torres Roque

A felony warrant has been issued for the suspect in a high-speed DUI crash that seriously injured a woman in early October after he failed to appear at his arraignment last week.

Victor Torres Roque was ordered to stand trial on Dec. 2 for felony drunk driving causing bodily injury, willful cruelty to a child, driving without a license and failing to provide proof of insurance.

Roque, 19, is accused of running a stop sign at Sixth and Kern while traveling south on Sixth.

His car collided with a car driven by a 27-year-old woman and seriously injured the woman.

The child cruelty charge was filed because there was a teenage passenger in Roque's vehicle.

He was scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 11

Roque had been free on $60,000 bail.

He is a Hispanic male standing 5-4 weighing 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He will be featured in this week's Taft's Most Wanted.
