January 6th, 1928 - November 19th, 2018

Marjorie Dawn Baker died peacefully in her home on November 19th, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Marjorie was born in Taft, California on January 6th, 1928, to Hall T. Baker and Florence Baker. She was 90 years old.

She graduated from Taft High School in 1945 and attended Taft College until 1946.

Marjorie lived life to the fullest, enjoying interests in karate, archery, cooking, walking, and tending to her rose garden. She also loved to write poems, but her passion was spending time with her 7 grandchildren, her 15 great grandchildren, and her 4 great-great grandchildren.

Marjorie was loved so dearly by her family and will be greatly missed. She has said that she will be waiting at the gates of Heaven for all of us. We know that is where she is now.

A very special thank you to our Hospice friends at ProCare for their loving care during this time.

Her viewing will be held on Thursday, November 29th, 2018, between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. at Lori Family Mortuary, 1150 4th Street. Her graveside service will be held on Friday, November 30th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Westside Cemetery, Cedar Street in Taft.
