August 30, 1932 - December 22, 2018

On Saturday, December 22, 2018, Alma Hunt, at the age of 86, went to be with the Lord. Alma was born August 30, 1932 in Parma, Missouri to William Tilman and Ellen Evans.  On January 13, 1954, Alma married Leaman Hunt in Missouri. In 1955, Alma and Leaman moved their family to California, eventually settling in Maricopa, CA. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Tilman and Ellen Evans, her husband, Leaman, her brother Bill (Fran) Evans, and her sisters, Doris (Wayne) Henderson and Brenda Evans. Alma is known as a loving and kind godly woman. Alma enjoyed talking about God’s word (Bible), giving godly advice and wisdom. Alma is known for her loving kindness and gentleness towards others. Alma enjoyed singing in Christian group while at the Missionary Baptist Church, in Maricopa, CA. Alma lived a genuine life of a Proverbs 31 woman. 

 Alma is survived by her twin brother, Albert “Buddy” (Francis) Evans and her sisters, Betty (Jimmy) Poore, Sue (Dave) Muse, and Judy (Jerry) Burns; and her three children: Debbie (Lonnie) Brummett, Bobby (Mariam) Hunt, and Randy (Nikki) Hunt. Also, Alma is survived by her seven (7) grandchildren: Bridget (Josh) Blair, Brandon (Jen) Brummett, Dwight (Nicole) Hunt, Misty (Billy) Fetzer, Zach (Morgan) Hunt, Jacob Hunt, and Caleb Hunt; and seven (7) great-grandchildren: Caitlyn (Zack) Morris, Madison Blair, Armando and Madison Soto, Noah Brummett, Damien and McKenzie Hunt.

 Alma will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Alma will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Alma left a legacy behind, as an example for us all, on how to live a life for the Lord. Alma is now being comforted in the arms of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

 A Graveside Service will held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 am, at West Side District Cemetery, located at 440 E. Cedar Street, Taft, CA. The arrangements are under the direction of the Greenlawn Funeral Home Southwest.
