Jimmy Lee Gorham passed away suddenly at the home of his daughter at the age of 76.  

He was born to Emory & Beulah Edwards Gorham in Fellows, Ca.  He attended Midway School in Fellows, Taft Union High School, and Taft Junior College where he met his first wife Judy Kimble Maxwell.  They had two children Byron & Sheri and moved to the Bay Area. Jim later returned to Taft, Ca. & met and married Phyllis Martin Gorham.            

  Jimmy enjoyed a long career as an oil field draftsman and spending time with his family and his best friend of over 50 years Lawrence Waldrop.  He loved country music, old black and white westerns & football!   He really loved to gamble and would make a run to the Indian casino at a moment’s notice!  He was the life of the party in any situation and people gravitated to him due to his humor and quick wit.  

Jimmy is proceeded in death by his parents Emory and Step-mother Bonnie, and his mother Beulah Edwards Gorham Ford of Tennessee, his Step-brother Dennis Wheeler, Step-sister Marsha Wheeler Edwards, and half- sisters Bonnie L Gorham Leaf, and Valerie Sue (Suzy) Gorham Billingsly. 

Jimmy is survived by his children Bryon Gorham and wife Kellie and Sheri Gorham Bulley and husband William Bulley Jr. of Bakersfield; Grandsons Steven Gorham, Robert Shahan, Dylan Bulley and 4 Great children.  Also surviving are brother David Lee Gorham and wife Cathryn of Fresno, Half-brother Joey Leroy Gorham and wife Toni of Taft, Half-sister Teri Gorham of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Stepsister Gail Wheeler Edwards and husband Benny of Colorado as well as numerous nephews and nieces.  

Jimmy’s life will be celebrated September 14th from 12 PM to 3:00 PM at Hodel’s in Bakersfield, Ca.

Jimmy was dearly loved by his family and will be missed.
