Ashton Wayne Harrison left this world for a better one on August 25th, 2020. He died in his sleep in Hulett, WY, of natural causes, he was 53. He was there building tanks for Advance Tanks & Construction out of Wellington CO.
Ashton was born at Camp Zama, Kanagawa-Ken, Japan on February 19th, 1967. His father was Terry Wayne Harrison and his mother is Jacqueline Lavonne Scherry. Ashton went to grade school and high school in Ridgecrest, CA. He moved to Port Arthur, TX where he attended welding school. He worked his whole career as a Industrial worker/welder, tank welder.
He was preceded in death by his father Terry, his grandparents Blackie and Nell Harrison, and uncle Glen Harrison. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Jackie and Bill Scherry of Ridgecrest, CA., his stepmother Ursula Harrison and his son and daughter in law Dillon and Ma'Kalya Harrison of Yuma, AZ, uncles and aunts including, John and Del Bryant, Bob and Lucrecia Meyer, Suzanne King, Tommy and Shelia Roberts and Michael Harrison, brothers and sisters, Joshua, Dianna and Christina. There was also his extended family at Advanced Tank and Construction, including Tom and Makala Semke, Junior and the crew.
Ashton enjoyed riding his bicycle, and even competed a few times. He also really enjoyed watching all kinds of movies. He had a love for speed, taking his motorcycle and truck to the max. He even took his new Kawasaki H2 to 170mph, the fastest he's ever gone, WOW! He can go as fast as he wants now! As he would always say, “ It is what it is.”
His remains have been cremated and he will be interred at the Ridgecrest cemetery, May he rest in peace. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Holland & Lyons Mortuary on September 25th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
