It is with unbearable sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jasin Scott Sheldon on October 9, 2020.
Jasin was born on April 30, 2007 in Bakersfield, CA to David & Anita Sheldon. From the moment Jasin arrived he was a beautiful ray of sunshine, shedding an abundance of joy, light, and warmth to all around him. While Jasin may have been young in years, he carried a rare, wise, and selfless soul. Often you could find Jasin getting lost in the lyrics of a song or hustling over to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a friend to all who crossed his path. Much like his Father and Mother, Jasin knew no stranger; he would strike up a conversation with anyone willing to listen. Jasin had a massive heart, so full of love for all of God’s creatures. He was always very attentive to those around him, he had this beautiful gift of knowing when you needed a shoulder to lean on, or needed a massive bear hug, and when you needed to laugh, he was always successful in giving his loved ones just what they needed to feel better.
Coming from a family that knows no stranger means your family grows leaps and bounds as each year passes friends quickly became family. Jasin’s family is massive and one of his greatest joys came from spending time with them. All of his grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends enjoyed his sense of humor, willingness to break into a dance at a moment’s notice, and his ability to talk and tell countless stories like he hadn’t seen you in weeks. In the short time Jasin was here, he made a massive impact on those around him and his presence will be greatly missed.
Jasin is survived by his parents, David & Anita Sheldon, and his sisters, Emma & Aubrey.
A memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 220 North Street on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00AM.
