James left us suddenly on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home in Maricopa, Ca. James was born in Bakersfield, Ca on April 21, 1963. He spent the majority of his younger years living in and around the Arvin area until 1999, then moving to Maricopa where he spent the remainder of his years. Most of James’ working years were spent being involved with agriculture. In 2012, James started work at Westside Mosquito and Vector as a seasonal control tech. He was then hired full time in 2015 and worked until 2020. He truly loved this job and showed a lot of pride when he would try and teach us about mosquitos. James loved to camp and fish, but most of all, loved spending time with his family and friends. His pride and joys were his son TJ Jackson, his daughter-n-law Emily Jackson (the daughter he always wanted) and his first Grandson Watson Jackson. James was loved by many and will truly be missed.
James was preceded in death by his father and mother, JC and Louise Jackson both of Arvin, CA. James is survived by his son, TJ Jackson, wife Emily and grandson Watson of Maricopa, CA; his brother and sisters, Jerry Jackson of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Rhonda Jackson of Arvin, CA and Sharon Gutierrez of Arvin, CA; his aunt, Rose Hayden of Taft, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
